On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I’d like to invite
you to join us for our first official conference as the
International SalonSpa Business Network (ISBN). We are excited
to continue to build on the success of our name change from
the International Chain Salon Association, and our
conference
in 2008 will keep a strong focus on networking for owners
and executives of multi-unit salons and spas.
If your company owns multiple salon/spa locations, attending
ISBN’s conference gives you your best chance to stay on
top of the many changes our industry is going through. Our
association offers salon and spa owners an opportunity to
belong to an inclusive network of companies that shares
information and ideas.
The goal of ISBN is to help everyone involved achieve
their next level of success. We want to continue to expand
and strengthen our ranks, which is why this year’s
conference
theme is “Network Your Way to Success.”
One hallmark of our annual conference that has not changed
is the tradition of hosting conference in beautiful locations.
This year’s location, the Renaissance Resort & Spa, is a gorgeous hotel that has recently undergone its
own renovation.
Our main attraction at conference this year is
keynote speaker Joe Calloway, author of books including
Becoming
a Category of One, Work Like You’re Showing Off, and
Indispensable: How to Become the Company That Your
Customers Can’t Live Without. Joe is going to follow up his keynote
presentation on Monday with a 90-minute interactive workshop
that will delve into three of the top issues that all multi-unit
salons and spas face and will help us all brainstorm solutions
for our own companies.
Much of the rest of our conference schedule will focus
on providing networking time for members and vendors. These
conversations and connections are the meat of a
conference
like ours, and the relationships that develop help us all
build the success of our businesses.
We hope to see you in Indian Wells, CA May 4-6!

Warm regards,
Paula Malloy
